Teachers, sign-in and passwords

Each teacher signs in with their own email and password, and has their own calendar, students and booking links. Admins see and manage everyone's.

Add a teacher

Only admins can do this.

  1. Go to Team and tap Add teacher.
  2. Fill in their Name, Email (login) and Phone.
  3. Choose a Role: Teacher or Admin.
  4. If you pay them by what they teach, choose Pay (per lesson or class, per hour, per student, or a percentage of fees) and the rate.
  5. Give them a Temporary password and tap Save.

Tell the teacher their email and temporary password. They sign in at app.mytuitionclass.com and change the password under Settings › Account › Change password. Passwords need at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.

Teachers and admins

  • A teacher works with their own calendar, students, classes, links and messages.
  • An admin can also see every teacher's calendar and students, and manages Team, the centre's name and logo, invoices and your plan.

With pay set, Fees › Teacher pay works out each teacher's pay for the month from the lessons they taught.

When a teacher leaves, tap Disable on Team. They can't sign in any more, and their lessons and history stay. Enable brings them back.

Forgot your password

  1. On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email you sign in with and tap Email me a link.
  3. Open the link within an hour. Type a new password twice and tap Save and sign in.

Nothing after a few minutes? Check your spam folder. A teacher can also ask an admin, who can set a new password under Team › Edit, in Reset password.

Your own account

  • Settings › Account › Profile: your name as parents see it, and your phone.
  • Settings › Account › Install on your phone: adds MyTuitionClass to your home screen. On an iPhone, it's also what makes push notifications work.
  • Settings › Data and security › Backup: a copy of everything is saved each night and kept for 30 days. Download now gives you a copy any time.
